Welcome Lihi Benisty

Teacher in Residence

March 2025

Lihi Benisty is a breathwork, movement, and sound guide whose practice is a dynamic blend of somatic techniques, enriched by the transformative power of music to navigate emotional landscapes. With a deep commitment to the poetic art of self-inquiry, Lihi creates a space for individuals to explore their inner worlds with curiosity, compassion, and courage.

Lihi’s teaching is distinguished by an intuitive ability to weave breathwork, movement, and sound into a cohesive practice that honors the complexity of the human experience. Through these practices, she invites her students to embark on a journey of self-discovery, helping them cultivate emotional resilience and reconnect with their innate confidence.

Lihi’s approach is grounded in the belief that the body holds profound wisdom. by tapping into the breath, moving with intention, and allowing sound to reverberate through the body, her students learn to access deeper layers of their emotional and physical being.

Lihi has been a teacher of mindfulness for 14 years. She grew up in Santa Cruz, California, and lives in Los Angeles, teaching at open. however, she is currently displaced from the fires and is spending some time to nurture on island while offering her gifts and teachings to our community here in Hanalei. She is deeply inspired by the practices of holotropic breathwork, somatics, gestalt, and internal family systems, which influence her approach to guiding others through transformative breath experiences.

Lihi will be joining us at Black Coral for the month of March 2025.

Her offerings will include weekly Breathe & Release and Breathe & Restore classes, along with a longer form Workshop and Weekend Immersion focused on the transformative power of breath.
