Dynamic Strength
With Jesse & Leah McCann
Dynamic Strength
Dynamic Strength is a 60-minute strength and conditioning workout that combines quality weight lifting with high-intensity interval training. Each class is unique but always focuses on full-body dynamic strength — the instructor will explain the structure and demo each exercise at the start of class. You will master functional movements using dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, and more, while also improving your cardio-respiratory function with high-intensity bodyweight exercises. Designed for all fitness levels, this non-heated class is as fun as it is effective. No need to bring a yoga mat or towel - we provide everything you need!
Class Etiquette
Be considerate—release your spot if you can’t make it. There’s almost always a waitlist, so if you can’t make it to class, please cancel ahead of time and make someone’s day!
Leave your ego at the door. Showing up for the first time takes a lot more courage than showing up for the thousandth. Start slow and give yourself room to grow. And even if you are the most experienced person in this room, there’s nothing to prove. Stay humble, work hard, have fun.
Be on time. The first 10 minutes of class are spent explaining the format and demoing exercises—this is crucial for your safety and the safety of those around you.
Encourage each other but stay focused. We love camaraderie, but please keep conversation to a minimum during the workout—this class requires 100% focus.
Respect the space. Try not to drop weights, as we have neighbors below. Wipe down your area for the next person, and do your best to keep weights organized.
Minimize distractions. Once class starts, please limit traffic in and out. Make sure to bring enough water to last through a 40-minute session.
Ground Rules
Safety first. If a movement feels uncomfortable, stop and ask for a modification. The timer doesn’t matter—your well-being does.
Inform your instructor. ALL injuries/health conditions need to be shared with your instructor before class begins.
Know your limits. There is zero pressure to keep up with anyone else! If you’re just starting out, have the courage to ask for easier modifications—the advanced movements will come with time.
Challenge yourself, but listen to your body. Our job is to challenge you, but just because a coach is yelling to go hard doesn’t mean you should go beyond your limits. You’re an adult, and you’re responsible for your own body.
Be coachable. No matter how experienced you are, you should never be above learning. Coaching is not criticism!
Have fun, inspire one another. A high- five or a hello to a new face goes a long way!
